Josie Baughman is a dance artist and educator from Northwest Indiana. She trained at Flint’s Dance Studio for fifteen years before pursuing a BFA degree in Dance at Ball State University. There, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors distinction and a minor in Psychology of Human Development.
Josie relocated to the Nashville area in 2019. After performing as a guest artist with FALL in “Stories” that same year, she became a company artist and has been dancing with FALL ever since. In 2020, she helped produce FALL's only outdoor, socially distant performance “Windows” and performed alongside Blue Moves in “Building Hope”. In 2022, she performed in ”A Bending of Its Own Kind 2.0”, and in 2023 she performed with the company as part of the Centennial Park Conservancy’s “Bright Night” event. In 2024, she is performing FALL’s new work “Aspiration” in collaboration with local music ensemble chatterbird and the third iteration of A Bending of Its Own Kind in Knoxville. Outside of FALL, Josie is a teaching artist and the lead children’s instructor for Rejoice School of Ballet in East Nashville.
